‘Zootopia’ Trailer Features A World Run By Animals In Disney Animated Comedy [Watch]

Zootopia has its first trailer from Walt Disney Animation Studios and the buddy comedy looks to be another hit from Disney. The animation looks incredible and what’s more exciting than a film filled with animals?

The film is directed by Rich Moore, who previously worked on Wreck-It Ralph, and Byron Howard, who directed Tangled, recently announced as an upcoming TV series on the Disney channel.

The first teaser trailer is used primarily to introduce fans to the modern civilized world of Zootopia, run totally by animals. Jason Bateman plays a fox who is narrating the trailer, explaining what the world is like and how there are animals from around the world in Zootopia.

Zootopia should be an exciting film for anyone who is a big fan of animals. The main animal is a fox and near the end of the trailer he even says “Zootopia: like nothing you’ve seen be-fur,” sure to be a fun film for the whole family.

The film takes place in Zootopia and revolves around Nick Wilde (Bateman), a sly fox on the run for a crime that he did not commit. The town’s top buddy Lt. Judy Hops (Ginnifer Goodwin), trailing him but when they both end up framed for the same crime, they end up teaming up, discovering that natural enemies can become friends.

It is a message that has been shown throughout the history of Disney’s films and even once already with a fox in The Fox and The Hound. However, none of that is present in the trailer and the teaser simply invites people to the world of Zootopia and it is done well in order to make people want more.

A few laughs are placed throughout and there is no doubt that there will be plenty more with Jason Bateman in the cast, and he even explains to young audiences and probably some older too, the meaning of the word “anthropomorphic.”

Zootopia has released its first trailer in order to build excitement, but the film is not due for a release in theaters until March 4th, 2016.
