Zac Efron “Footloose” Remake
Zac Efron has unveiled plans to channel his inner Kevin Bacon in an upcoming remake of the 1984 teen film Footloose.
“Footloose is coming together, actually,” Zac told E! at a Los Angles press conference for High School Musical 3 on Monday.
The 20-year-old heartthrob will likely be cast as “Ren McCormack” in the revamped version of the movie about a Southern town that has outlawed dancing.
“We’re trying to figure out the right way to do it, but yeah. It seems like it’s going to happen. Whether that’s good news or bad news depends on when you were born.”
