YouTube Wedding Dance Boosts Chris Brown Sales
Has a viral sensation brought Chris Brown back from the brink of career disaster after Domestic Disturbia 2009?
With more than 11.4 million views on YouTube, the Internet video of a wedding party dancing down the aisle to Chris Brown’s hit single “Forever” has translated into big sales for the embattled crooner and his 2008 track. Digital sales of the song jumped from less than 3,000 the week ending July 19 to 50,000 for the week ending July 26, according to Nielsen SoundScan. In addition, Chris’ last album, Exclusive: Forever Edition, jumped 130% in sales last week.
