You Tube’s In Hot Water After “24″ Episode Leak

Google’s video-sharing site, You Tube, has been subpoenaed by Twentieth Century Fox to release the name of the user responsible for uploading four episodes of the award-winning series 24 before the shows scheduled release dates.
The same subscriber also uploaded twelve unreleased episodes of The Simpsons. On Jan. 8, Fox officially notified YouTube about the infringed episodes and requested immediate removal or to disable access to the service. The leaked episodes were uploaded under the username “Jorge Romero-”which was also served with a subpoena.
The episodes were taken down right away and You Tube’s parent company intends to comply with the subpoena.
