Over the weekend, an army of Khloe Kardashian’s Twitter followers took up arms and formed a militia upon learning that the socialite’s rebound man, hip-hopster French Montana, is dating her — at least, in part — to “capitalize” off of the Kardashian’s far-reaching fame.
This is a fact Khloe is not just fully aware of…but perfectly okay with.
Who says chivalry is dead?
French came under fire last week, after telling Billboard magazine of his hopes to parlay his romance with the youngest of the Kardashian sisters — who he has affectionately dubbed “My Koko” — into a lucrative career move:
“I want to capitalize on it. I’ll get a fan base from everywhere. I just hope I’ll be able to connect with everything that’s going on.”
The couple have been dating for a couple of months following the breakdown of Khloe’s marriage to out-of-work NBA baller Lamar Odom. The pair split after it was revealed that Lamar has been quietly battling crack addiction for much of the union. The pro athlete’s penchant for habitually cheating on his wife was also outed before Khloe filed for divorce in August 2013.
Given the brunette’s (well, sometimes blonde’s) history of selecting shady partners, fans felt compelled to rally to Khloe’s defense in the wake of French’s candid comments on the nature of their union. Khloe, on the other hand, fired a blow at her would-be supporters; tweeting out a message that seems to suggests that she not only knows that French’s intentions are less than pure but that there may be something in this “Bad Romance” for her, as well.
“It’s amusing to me that Y’all think I don’t see it. I was the first one to see it. I just don’t care.”
