Wynonna issues Swift apology for CMAs diss……Wynonna Judd has apologized to Taylor Swift after taking a swipe at the 19-year-old singing superstar before her big night at the CMA Awards, where she walked away with the Entertainer of the Year trophy on Wednesday night.

Prior to the ceremony, Wynonna told USA TODAY that she felt Taylor was too young to be nominated for such a prestigious award, adding that the honor was “too much, too soon … Time is God’s way of keeping everything from happening at once. It’s just too much of a good thing soon … I want kids to earn it.”

“I understand that my comment about Taylor Swift’s Entertainer of the Year nomination came across as a negative statement. My intent was not to take anything away from her talent and contributions to the country music industry… all of which are truly unprecedented for an artist of ANY age,” the 45-year-old said in a statement posted on her website.

“Taylor is a beautiful, hard working young woman that deserves the success she has had,” she continued. “And I support her as an artist and as a woman in the business.”
