Wounded Warrior Project stepping up to help out Veterans affected by the Government Shutdown
Since Washington can’t seem to pull their heads out of their @sses…..looks like the Wounded Warrior Project will.
The Non-Profit group is preparing to set-up to help wounded veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The organization, based in Florida, is preparing to send out $20 million to some 40,000 young veterans it has assisted in the past.
“You’re hearing (from veterans) a lot of fear, and you’re hearing a lot of anger and frustration,” says Steven Nardizzi, a co-founder and the executive director of Wounded Warrior Project.
Nardizzi added that the money,$500 to some 40,000 veterans won’t be a lot but hopefully enough to cover some basic needs. But, he added, “we had to do more than just a call to action. We had to do everything we could to provide support to those families.”
