Lindsay Lohan’s career might be in the crapper these days, but life is looking rosy for at least one of the starlet’s former flames. Ex-That ’70s Show star Wilmer Valderamma has signed an exclusive development deal with 20th Century FOX TV.
According to Deadline.com, the contract commissions the actor — who previously fronted the comedy series Yo Momma! for MTV — to produce and star in a new series for the studio.
“He’s impressed us tremendously as an actor and producer,” FOX TV chairperson Dana Walden revealed. “He’s got talent, great instincts about ideas and material, and terrific comedic chops.”
The relationship between Wilmer and 20th TV goes back a few years. The funny guy has starred in two studio-developed comedy pilots for the studio, including 2008’s The Emancipation of Ernesto — a parody series based on the life of Dog Whisperer star Cesar Millan.
