William Petersen dusts his star for fingerprints during his induction ceremony for the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday.

Petersen, who was the 2,379th Star to be honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, had a distinguished career in film, theater, and television before landing the breakout role of “Gil Grissom,” the lead investigator on forensic drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2000.
