If you weren’t glued to the small screen last Friday, you missed quite an event on The View. Resident voice of reason Whoopi Goldberg popped her cork on the air over last week’s issue TV Guide, which featured a bitter critique of the Oscar-winner’s questionable sense of style.

In an piece published in the mag, one writer blasted Whoopi, stating that, “…She comes to work everyday looking like she’s going to Costco.” Well, Whoopi isn’t taking that lying down. She responded by calling the critic an “anonymous bitch” and promptly told her to “kiss my ass.”

In a second piece, entitled “What Not To Wear,” author Stacy London wrote: “….It’s hard to take her seriously,” to which Whoopi responded, “You don’t judge me by what I wear you judge me by what I say.”

Whoopi said: “First of all Ingela, you are an anonymous bitch. My style, who I am, is not about my clothing. If I came out in a bag, I would still and always will be me, so you can kiss my ass.”

She added: “To the young lady Stacy Landon. Stacy, Tracey, whatever your name is. I don’t need you to take me seriously.”

“I am myself, I’ve always been myself, and you don’t judge me by what I wear, you judge me by what I say.”

Whoopi then ripped up the copy of TV Guide.
