Whoa! Bella Hadid May Be Competing at the 2016 Olympics
Bella Hadid, the younger sister of supermodel Gigi Hadid, and model herself, has major plans for the near future. We’re talking the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Bella, who made her debut on the Tom Ford runway in February of this year, has racked up quite a repertoire and earned herself a place next to her sister Gigi and other current ‘it girls’ of the moment, like Kendall Jenner and Taylor Swift. She’s also dating music sensation The Weeknd. And even though Bella lives a sensational life in the spotlight with a booming modeling career, she’s also a nationally ranked equestrian, and she’s taking those skills worldwide.
Bella’s love for horses developed from the very tender age of three under the keen guidance of her mom:
“My devotion stemmed from my mom’s love of horses,” she said in a recent interview. “I have been riding since I could walk and the fact that my mom knew everything about horses really helped my passion grow.”
Now she’s hoping to capitalize on her excellent horse-riding skills by working hard to qualify to compete at the Olympic Games. Bella has her eye set on competing in three equestrian categories: eventing, dressage and jumping. If all goes well, the budding supermodel may be adding new titles, and a few Olympic medals to her already booming list of achievements. We can’t wait to see where this life in sports takes her and we are as anxious as ever.
We are rooting for you Bella!
