Wes Bentley Checks In As Member Of ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’

Wes Bentley has become the latest actor to be added to the upcoming season of American Horror Story. It is shaping up to be a completely new cast from previous seasons, which could be good or bad for ratings.

American Horror Story is an anthology series that is heading into its 5th season when it premieres in the fall, and although the setting has changed each time, at least some of the cast has remained the same.

The horror series airs on FX and is co-created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. Some actors have made an impact for one or two seasons, although Jessica Lange has been an integral part of the show for all four seasons, and recently confirmed that she will not be returning next season.

The news of Wes Bentley joining the show was revealed by Ryan Murphy himself on his Twitter account this morning. Bentley is not completely new to the franchise after guest starring in three episodes of AHS: Freak Show, although this will be his first time as a star on the show.

In addition to Bentley, the American Horror Story: Hotel has previously announced Matt Bomer, Lady Gaga, and Cheyenne Jackson as new cast members. Bomer and Jackson were both revealed during the show’s panel discussion at Paleyfest, and although they have been quiet about details, he did hint that there may be a romantic interest involving Gaga’s character.

American Horror Story is set to begin production in Los Angeles in the summer and debut on FX in October. It has been said that the show was going to be very different, and have an unusually large reinvention, but does that mean that none of the cast will be the same?

Wes Bentley is perhaps best known to audiences now for his role as Seneca Crane in The Hunger Games, but he has appeared in numerous films since his film debut in 1998 including Oscar winner American Beauty, The Four Feathers, and the much anticipated Knight Of Cups.
