Jolie Cocaine Claims: Was Actress High During 2000 Interview With Charlie Rose?
A man claiming to be the former drug dealer of Hollywood humanitarian Angelina Jolie says the Oscar winner was high on cocaine during an interview with PBS commentator Charlie Rose 10 years ago.
A then up-and-coming Angie appeared on the gabfest to promote her role in Girl Interrupted, a performance that won the sex symbol her first Academy Award. It’s no so enduring once you know the backstory, says pusherman Franklin Mayer. Let Franklin tell it, Angelina, who rambled in the Rose interview about her role as Gia, the drug-addicted model she played in the HBO made-for-TV movie of the same name, was on drugs herself at the time.
Meyer tells Life & Style that he met Jolie at the Chelsea Hotel in 1997. He describes the starlet as an frequent cocaine user, who he saw her two to three times a week when she was in New York, either at her apartment or at the hotel.
“She would generally spend about $100 dollar each time. That would buy maybe half a gram of coke and a 10th of a gram of heroin.”
