Paging PETA! Singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham will surely get herself into a pickle with animal rights activists after plopping down more than $2,000 on a piggy purchase. The fashion icon recently bought a pair of miniature pot-bellied Gloucester pigs — dubbed Piggy and Perky — as an early Christmas present for hubby David.

“What can you possibly buy the multi-millionaire, superstar footballer who has absolutely everything?” a source blabbed to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper on Wednesday.
“In the case of David Beckham, the answer is, obviously, a pair of cuddly designer piglets. Victoria fell in love with them and realized she’d found the perfect present.”

The Beckham – who have three children, Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, seven, and Cruz, four – are not the only celebs taking up the mini pig craze. Earlier this month, Paris Hilton adopted a micro-pig called Miss Pigelette.

“Micro pigs are incredibly clean and easy to train. They will be given the run of the place and could even end up watching TV on David and Victoria’s laps.”
