Victoria Beckham needs surgery to remove the painful bunions taking up residence on her feet. The former Spice Girls star-turned-fashion designer has been advised by doctors to undergo a procedure to ease the painful condition — commony known as a deformity of the bone and joint which affects the big toe and can be extremely painful.

“Victoria is in agony with her misshapen feet,” a source told Britain’s Daily Mail on Friday.

Despite doctor’s orders, Posh has had corrective insoles put into her shoes in hopes of avoiding the operation because it will mean she won’t be able to wear her trademark stilettos for several months.

“She is suffering from shooting pain from the bunions. Victoria calls her feet ‘the bane of my life’, but she is worried about having the operation because she fears they will compromise her ability to wear heels and ruin her stylish look,” the insider adds.

Victoria has previously voiced her displeasure for flat shoes, saying: “I beyond hate ballerina flats. I can’t walk in them. Unless they’re on a ballet dancer doing ballet, I just don’t get it. I love heels.”

“She puts up with the pain, but the doctor has told her she seriously needs to consider a bunionectomy or ditch the heels for a few months to let the inflammation calm down. She has not got that long to decide what to do.”
