It’s great that someone is trying to help celebrity and their addictions instead of feeding into it just to get a story or to have something to talk about, like the papperazzi!!!

to steven adler,
relapse is a part of recovery. HANG IN THERE. IF YOU REALLY WANT THIS YOU CAN GET IT. SURRENDER . BE WILLING TO TRY A DIFFERANT APPROACH. LET A MENTOR WITH LONG TERM SOBRITY, SHOW YOU THE WAY. LIKE AMBER SAID IN THE FINALLY DON’T DO WHAT YOU WANT OR WHAT YOU THINK IS RIGHT IT’S THAT KIND OF THINKING THAT GOT YOU WHERE YOU ARE TODAY. I KNOW ALL TO WELL HOW HARD IT IS TO GET THROUGH THESE FIRST FEW MONTHS. KICK SCREAM CRY BEAT THE FLOOR BE ANGRY AND UGLY IF YOU NEED TO BUT DON’T PICK UP TALK ABOUT WHAT IT IS THAT ALES YOU INSIDE AND OUT TRY HARD TO ET PAST THE PAIN OR THE HURT ISIDE THAT’S HOLDING YOU BACK FROM THE SOBER HAPPY PEACEFUL LIFE THAT YOU DESERVE. JUST KEEP COMMIN BACK. I LOVE YOU

I watched the second season of Dr. Drews rehab and I thought that it was great. I looked forward to the spin off of sober house. I was very disappointed with the way the house mother handled Steve. She should not be in charge. She called the police and it was clear that she did it for attention herself. She traded one addiction for another. I don’t know what the answer for Steve is but the way she handle it left me feeling that this may not be a safe place for these celebrities to recover. I wonder what Dr. Drew thought of this situation. I am not big on realality tv, however, this show caught my eye. I hope that they replace the house mother and put someone in charge who is not so incincere with her intentions.

great sequel into the celebreties recovery journey.
however, the sober house manager is TOTALLY out of line!!! She’s a patsy at only 2 yrs clean. She is at just as much if not More risk than the addicts she is charged with. Her need to constantly second guess herself and her decisions in regard to the house and her client’s well being is likely to be her very undoing. also her constant comments to the residents justifying
every uncomfortable call she makes will eventually lead to a no confidence feeling among
the residents that she is charged with taking care of. She should know that sucessful recovey means stepping out of our own little comfort zone
when appropriate, and having faith in our selves and taking resposibility for the decisions and choices we make. Jennifer (house manager) hang in there and remember: you are in charge!!!
you need not question your decisions in front of the clients in your care. It causes their confidence in you to shrink. Also, your decisions ARE NOT subject to your clients praise, critique or condemnation. Remember, many addicts willingly embrace DRAMA to fill the hole left by their substance. It is just as addictive as dope, and the behavior associated with it can be just as dangerous. It takes full focus off of recovery and is as potentially deadly as relapse. good luck Drew (keep coming back)

I was saddend when the police were called on Steven Adler, that will make it hard for him to trust anyone in the drug treatment feild.I wish the best for all those in the house.Rodney King was the only one that made a wise choice by not going out to a night club. One wrong choice can kill you when your dealing with addiction.I just got out of the hospital from a overdose of heroin, xanax and cocaine.I was in I.C.U.on LIFE SUPPORT for7 days and3 more days on antibiotics to treat mirsa, for those that don’t know thats flesh eating disease, from shooting dope.I STRUGGLE every day, you’d think it would be easy not to use after comming so close to death ,but it’s not. There will always be those addicts harshly.but there are those who are willing to reach out a hand to help.Grab on to that hand and hold on tight. As long as your alive theres hope,I’m not a hopeless dopefiend,I’m a dopeless hopefiend.Lynn

I think Jen, the house mother handled Steve perfectly. She had to call the police there was no other choice for her to do. Even Rodney understands why she did it and so does Seth and they thought it was handled in a great way. The other staff member, Will said she did a great job with Steve. So I hope they keep Jennifer as the house mother because she doing her job great.

Amber it is called the Stupid Woman syndrome.
You are an extremely bright, talented, beautiful woman who believed that your new dress looked better on the floor than on you. If you were just in it for the sex, then you got just that.
You believe you have the maturity of a 20 something year old, remember we all have been there and done that at all different ages for all different reasons. You are just learning to be who you are. Please do not trade off one addiction for another.
