Vanessa Hudgens “Twilight” Sequel “New Moon”
Vanessa Hudgens has auditioned for a part in the upcoming Twilight sequel New Moon, MTV reported on Monday.
The young star, best known for her role as “Gabriella” in Disney’s High School Musical franchise, is hoping to land the role of Leah Clearwater in the second installment of the wildly-popular vampire franchise created by Stephanie Meyer.
Twilight star Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen, Baby V would make a great addition to the cast: “I think she’d be great.”

For me, she has the quality of Leah in the book…skin color and hair color..because she is a half Filipino so that’s why she has that characteristic. she was just not that tall…but she is over 6 feet. I did watch High School Musicial, not my type of thing, but if Vanessa is going to be Leah, that might ruin it…New Moon will get bad reviews, so I’m not sure if whoever picks the casting or whatever, will pick her, they may know a lot of people doesn’t want her to be in it..so who knows…

I’m sorry, but Twilight and New Moon are going to be VERY big movies with a VERY loyal and hardcore fanbase (I’m not talking to those of you who hopped on the bandwagon b/c Twilight was going to be a movie, I’m talking to it’s ORIGINAL and HXE fans!)
That fanbase is EXTREMELY different from the HSM crowd and to tall you the truth, after a year of having to learn all the stupid dances to that AWFUL movie and listening to the songs OVER AND OVER AGAIN (for dance…:( ) I AM QUITE SICK OF VANESSA HUDGENS!!!!
especially b/c, if you’ve watched any HSM movie, everyone knows that she does these stupid little ballads in the middle that are just her singing and moping and EVERYONE SKIPS THROUGH THEM b/c a.) she can’t sing and b.) she’s not a compelling actress. Her “anguish” makes me want to laugh and Leah is a very complex, heartbroken character…Vanessa won’t give her the credibility she deserves.
oh, and the “maybe they won’ pick her b/c they know a lot of ppl don’t like her” thing, won’t work…
we thought that w/ Twilight and we STILL got stuck with FREAKING KRISTEN STEWART (who I will admit was not as bad as I originally thought) but still, she is not the best choice for Bella. I’m still an Emily Browning fan :)
