If I found out my boyfriend wants to get married at 40 I´d be sad. I mean I want to get married in my 20´s or before 30. I would tell me borfriend that I want to get married in an earlyish age. And that I dont want to start my life with a guy when I´m 40 years old. I would say maybe we should see other people cause this might not work out. I of course would be sad but hey my future dreams would be crushed. She might want kids, and Zac might not be the one for that. I hope the best for those two! I thought he was joking when he mentioned he didn't want to get married until he was 40 years old. I thought that was to keep the media out of their personal life. But, if he is afraid of showing their relationship, then he's the jerk. I have often felt bad for Vanessa when Zac tries to cover up their relationship. I'm happily married and just celebrated my husband and my 15th anniversary. I never had to doubt that my husband (when we were dating and still even today) is totally in love with me. He has never been shy of showing me affection and letting me know that he wanted to marry me. He wanted to marry me within 6 months of dating. I agree with Vanessa (if this reporting is true) that he should be letting her know that he wants to get married in the next couple of years. I think age 22 to 24 years is a responsible and mature age to get married and that you are old enough to know what to expect. You'd think by now that they would know each other so well that they wouldn't have a problem with discussing marriage. Why would he hold back from getting married? How does he expect her to feel? She must feel that he is doubtful if he's afraid of commitment. I loved them together as a couple and I was VERY happy for them. So, I hope he can get his act together and realize he needs to be a gentleman and let her know his “true” intentions.
