Vanessa Hudgens Arrested Rumor: Vanessa Hudgens Drinking Underage Arrest Hoax
CosmoGirl’s Daily Kiss column has issued a retraction and public apology to Vanessa Hudgens after posting a story claiming the High School Musical star was arrested for underage drinking last Sunday.
On Tuesday, CosmoGirl.com reported:
It might be hard to believe, but Vanessa Hudgens was arrested for underage drinking, according to Back Seat Cuddler. The Disney starlet was hanging out at a Hollywood club when an undercover cop entered and began a random search for minors who were drinking. Even Vanessa’s mom called her daughter’s actions “stupid.” I just hope Vanessa doesn’t end up going down the same road as some other Hollywood starlets. Get it together, girl!
CosmoGirl issued this apology to Vanessa in a blog post on Thursday:
Hey, CG!s. Two days ago we posted in our Daily Gossip Round Up an unsubstantiated rumor that has now been proven untrue on Vanessa Hudgens being arrested for underage drinking. Here’s what we posted:
“It might be hard to believe, but Vanessa Hudgens was arrested for underage drinking, according to BackSeatCuddler.com.”
First, we DID NOT report that she was arrested; we stated that another site was reporting she had been. We want to apologize to you our readers and to Vanessa for not further stating that it was still unconfirmed. We pulled that story because the source turned out to not be credible.
