The stepson of R&B impresario Usher Raymond has been critically injured in a jet skiing accident very similar to the one that left singer Sean Kingston hospitalized last summer.
Kile Glover, 11, was rushed to an Atlanta medical center after he was run over by a personal watercraft on Georgia’s Lake Lanier on Friday. Glover and an unidentified 15-year-old girl were floating on an inner tube when they were struck by a jet ski — operated by a man in their group.
Glover was hit in the head and was unresponsive when he was taken out of the water, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Police do not believe alcohol was a factor.
Glover is the son of Usher’s ex-wife and former stylist Tameka Foster. The exes have been locked in a messy court feud over the future of their two young sons — Usher and Navyid. A May hearing in the custody case saw allegations of jealous rages by Tameka and infidelity and drug use by Usher.
Tameka was out of town during Friday’s accident on the water. Despite their acrimonious divorce and bitter custody battle, the crooner chartered a plane for his former bride to be by her son’s side.
