Tameka Foster-Raymond, wife of R&B star Usher, is recovering from a heart attack she suffered just before undergoing plastic surgery last weekend, The Associated Press has learned.

Last Friday, Tameka went into cardiac arrest while being anesthetized for a liposuction procedure at a hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, a rep for the plastic surgeon tells the AP.

The 37-year-old celebrity stylist, a mother of five, was “revived in less than a minute by heart massage,” placed in an induced coma, and taken to the intensive-care unit, the doctor’s rep says.

She remains hospitalized.
