Usher on the Hot Seat in Child Custody Case
Aw snap! The custody battle between Usher and his ex-wife Tameka Foster is getting nasty y’all!
Tameka filed a petition with the Fulton County Family Court system to get sole custody of the couple’s two children, Usher V and Naviyd. At the heart of her claim is the accusation that the “OMG” hitmaker is a lousy father who owes her heaps of cash.
Oh — and he allegedly does drugs, too. Tameka claims her former flame isn’t fit to be a dad because he likes to party. She says she has proof in the form of a video of the star “in delirium” during a concert in January.
Oh — and there’s also the allegations that Usher boinked one Maya Fox Davis, a former friend and bridesmaid of Tameka’s.
But Usher won’t just “let it burn.” Usher says his ex-wife spat on his current girlfriend during an argument. According to Ush, Tameka stormed over to his car and accosted his new lady outsider her home earlier this year.
“I’m gonna kick your ass. Bitch get out of the car. How dare you bring this woman into my subdivision in my house? She continued to spit. At this point she pulled the door open, tried to swing at her.”
Usher broke down in tears at allegations he was a bad father in an Atlanta courtroom on Monday. The singer, 33, was rigorously grilled about his “excessive partying” by Foster’s attorney, who showed pictures of him out at clubs while in Europe recently.
The attorney also quizzed Usher about his alleged drug use. Usher admitted to smoking marijuana but said he had not done so in front of the children.
The former Mr. and Mrs. Raymond met when the then-twenty-something singing star was climbing the charts and the decade-older Tameka was a married mother of three. An affair ultimately led to wedding bells. But the union would be seeped in controversy almost from the start.
Foster was accused of driving a wedge between Usher, his fans and even his mother. Their problems were compounded when Foster nearly died during a botched plastic surgery procedure in Brazil in 2008.
The Raymonds divorced in 2009.
