Ditzy diva Jessica Simpson got a lesson in “roughing it” after her requests for a gourmet organic menu during her Operation Myspace Concert in Kuwait were rejected by military officials. A demand for Fiji Bottled Water was also rebuffed with an abrupt “Bitch, Please!”

“Jessica’s demands really angered some high-ranking soldiers,” says a snitching spywitness.

A member of Jessica’s small entourage tells The National Enquirer:

“Jessica had her people call and e-mail ahead of time to make sure all the food prepared for her in Kuwait was organic…They couldn’t believe that while they’re eating pre-packaged rations, Jessica was thinking fresh, organic foods would be served just for her. They’re fighting for Jessica’s freedom and she’s acting like there’s a Whole Foods on the Army base to service all of needs.”

The base’s colonel was left particularly upset by Jessica’s requests. He sent out a letter letting the one-time MTV star know that the closest thing he has to organic food is Top Ramen Noodles:

“Please understand we’re an Army base in the Kuwait desert. We’re busy fighting a war. There is no such thing as organic food here.”

“Jessica really wasn’t being mean-spirited,” the Enquirer’s source says. “She’s been pampered her whole life and is clueless about how the ‘other half’ lives.”
