Either Tori Spelling’s marriage truly is crumbling like a half-eaten Oreo or the celebutot is a far finer actress then she’s been given credit for.
Despite allegations that Spelling and hubby Dean McDermott manufactured a cheating scandal to land a reality show (in this case, Lifetime’s True Tori), Spelling was recently hospitalized — and family insiders blame the undisclosed illness on the socialite starlet’s ongoing marital troubles with her less than doting hubby. Spelling spent six days in a Los Angeles-area hospital before being released on Saturday, E! News snoopsters say.
Dean, pals say, was a frequent fixture at his wife’s bedside:
“He would arrive by 10am and didn’t leave until 8 most nights. He seemed very stressed out and worried. He would bring food and often only left Tori to go outside to catch some air or make a phone call.”
Dean and Tori are the parents of four; Liam, seven, Stella, five, Hattie, two, and Finn, 20 months. The jilted bride, 40, was gutted when the Chopped Canada admitted to a weekend affair with Emily Goodhand, 28, during a business trip to Toronto. There’s been speculation the two faked the whole cheating scandal to dig themselves out of that crippling debt that almost left the family homeless earlier this year. Insiders, however, are debunking those rumors, telling E! News that the family’s drama is anything but made for TV.
