The breakup between Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson is being blamed on the singer’s love of alcohol. FOX News spies claim the NFL quarterback dumped Jessica last month due to peer pressure from his Dallas Cowboys teammates, who believe Jess has an addiction to booze.

“Jessica would get really drunk and obnoxious, it was out of control. She would be sprawled everywhere with her head on his lap and the look on Tony’s face said it all…He was so embarrassed in front of all the guys and his teammates were really harsh on him over it. Breaking up was a really hard decision for Tony to make,” an insider told Fox News’ Pop Tarts.

Jessica’s friends, however, have come to her defense, insisting she was not an alcoholic and there were various other issues involved in the split.
