Jessica Simpson is so jealous that her sister, Ashlee Simpson, is pregnant and planning to marry before she does the hopelessly in love blonde has become determined to beat her baby sister to the altar-even if that means eloping with Dallas Cowboys-starting boyfriend Tony Romo.

“She’s desperate to be the Simpson everyone is talking about again…She’ll love nothing more than to get married before Ashlee. It upsets her that her little sister will be married and she won’t. She gets jealous when Ash gets more attention…Eloping with Tony would kill two birds with one stone,” Star Magazine reports.

“She’s been joking to friends that she should take Tony to Vegas, get him drunk, and drag him to the Little White Wedding Chapel,” a friend of the songstress whispers.

Desperate Jess is quietly working on wearing down Tony’s resistance to commitment; a little something we ladies like to call “nagging him into submission.” It’s a gift.

“She’s been showing him rings in magazines. She tells him what she likes, and she does it right in front of his friends, too, so it’s really awkward.”

And if all else fails, Jessica isn’t above getting down on one knee and popping the question herself:
