Disaster ensued when Jessica Simpson tried to prepare a pre-Thanksgiving cheeseburger for NFL-playing boytoy Tony Romo last month.

As if the Chicken of the Sea Affair wasn’t enough to convince Tony that cooking is not Jessica’s strong suit, the Dallas Cowboys QB became painfully aware that his girl is culinarily-challenged when he got a mouthful of plastic along with his burger.

Jessica was hoping to impress boyfriend Tony Romo with a juicy cheeseburger but left the wrapper on the cheese, Star Magazine writes.

“Jess blamed it on the manufacturer,” a chatty spy chuckles. “She said they should really warn people!”
