Jessica Simpson’s been duped. (Which couldn’t have been very hard considering she’s dumber than a box of rocks.)

Contrary to Jessica’s public declaration that beau Tony Romo has not been contacting ex-girlfriend Carrie Underwood, a tabloid mole close to the twosome insists the Dallas Cowboys QB has in fact been secretly texting and chatting with his Idol-winning ex.

“He told me, ‘I like talking to Carrie. We’re just good friends, and Jessica’s just going to have to learn to put up with it,’” says an Enquirer informant.

“A couple of months ago, Jessica told Tony that she didn’t want him interacting with Carrie. She gave Tony an ultimatium that he should change his cell phone number and his e-mail address so that Carrie couldn’t get in touch with him.”

“Tony ignored her-he’s still got the same number and e-mail address he has had for years.”

The insider quips, “Apparently, Jessica doesn’t realize that cell phone log can be erased!”
