Tony Awards 2010 Nominations

The nominations are in for this year’s annual Tony Awards — honoring Broadway’s best.

The year’s ceremony will shine bright with star power. A bevy of award-winning celebs are up for Tonys: Oscar winner Catherine Zeta-Jones is Best Actress contender for her work in A Little Night Music. Jude Law — who won critical acclaim for his performance in Hamlet — will compete against Denzel Washington (who’s opened to rave reviews in the revival of August Wilson’s Fences) for the Best Actor in a Play Tony.

Liev Schreiber and Scarlett Johansson are nominated for their dramatic roles in the play A View from The Bridge. Green Day’s American Idiot is up for Best Musical and Fences took a whopping 10 nods.

Winners will be announced during a live broadcast from NYC’s Radio City Music Hall on June 13.
