Boy is the Church of Scientology taking a beating this week…..

Crash director Paul Haggis made headlines on Monday, after he abandoned the controversial sect after more than 30 years over its anti-gay marriage stance. Now, Tommy Davis, the head of the Church of Scientology’s Celebrity Centre, is hitting the blogosphere for walking out of an interview with ABC Nightline correspondent Martin Bashir, because he didn’t like Bashir’s line of questioning.

Last week, ABC ran a two-part investigation into Scientology, which focused on the allegedly violent behavior by leader David Miscavige, as well as the involvement celebrities like Tom Cruise and John Travolta.

In a taped interview, which aired last Friday, Bashir grilled Davis about the church’s involvement in the autism treatments of celebrity Scientologist John Travolta’s late son Jett.

“Do you know if the church ever advised them not to allow their son to receive certain medications?”

Davis curtly replied, “The church never advised them in any way, shape or form whatsoever on any aspect of their son’s treatment. Never have, never will.”

Bashir asked Davis to expound on the church’s bizarre founding mythology, which involves an intergalactic god named Xenu who brought his people to Earth 75 million years ago and stuffed them in a volcano. Telling Bashir he wouldn’t discuss “disgusting perversions” of the religion, Davis removed his microphone and stormed off the set.

I am no fan of Scientology, but in this case I have to agree with Davis. Bashir was intentionally being offensive. If someone tells you that you are being offensive, if you didn’t mean to be and stop, then that is fine. But if you then continue and force the issue, at that point you are intentionally being offenisve. Davis told him what he would do if Bashir continued and he followed through with his statement. I never thought I would wupport a scientologist, but Bashir was definitely wrong here.

Bashir was asking a legit question. It’s no different than asking a Christian if he or she believes that God, a supernatual being, is the father of the human man Jesus. I don’t think a Christian would walk out of an interview after being asked that question.

Bashir in now way was being offensive in this situation, he along with the rest of us was trying to understand this perverted “religion”. Davis had an excellent opportunity to dispell many myths and misconceptions that surround Scientology in this interview. If what Bashir asked was false than all Davis had to say was no this is incorrect, but instead he decided to evade the question by storming off the set. It is a sad day when the leader of a religion will not answer questions surrounding their beliefs. If you truely belive you should want to explain to everyone what the base of the religion truely is.

Mr. Davis knew he was going to be interviewed. Common sense should tell him that Scientology has come under a lot of fire with very little positive being said about it. Common sense should tell him that there are going to be some questions about some of the beliefs. I could see him being offended if a person on the street were asking him and refused to stop but he put himself in this situation and he had to know he was going to get some questions about things that have been said. This was his chance to clarify. He failed to do so.

People, go read “A Piece of the Blue Sky”, which was written by a longtime member of the Cult of Scientology. In this book- and note that the author was one of Hubbard’s inner circle- he writes that Hubbard actually said the words “a piece of the blue sky” in the context of “let’s go sell them a piece of the blue sky”. The whole lunacy of Scientology might have been made more so by the people who came after Hubbard (and his bad writing, horrible science fiction, and creation of a cult) but in the beginning it was the idea of one man on how to make a ton of MONEY.

Tommy never answered the question at all. He just staved the whole question off. Those kind of people deserve a question.
What is Scientology a closet Star Trek cult? Lol. All Ron Hubbard talked about in his writings are basically the fallen angels or demons or whatever you want to call them, but he just gave them those far out names to make it more mythical.

Science and mathematics arent fallible. Tommy Davis, doesn’t look old enough to run any type of pseudo church, he could not have been born when in 1971 Ron and his fellow buccaneers were frolicking of the coast of South Africa in a big yacht, with naked women and causing a lot of sexually transmitted diseases among their fellow followers.

Now we come to “Auditing” what a laugh, do they not realize that through extensive medical research it has now been proven that you can’t even find an allergy with dermal or Vega testing, never mind clearing someone of “WHAT” god only knows?

    L. Ron Hubbard was a charlatan, a maniac, on a par with Manson, a pedophile, sex addicted and drug addict. The Scientologists prey on the weak minded, intimidate and use concepts allegedly invented by our Ron, which really have been in public domain since well before Scientology was even thought of, which in those early days was called Dianetics, so how come John Travolta and the midget ever got into this? The answer is – that only a psychiatrist could figure it out. But its about time they got out of this cesspit just as the “Crash Director” has done, but one has to think why could a man of that intelligence spend 30 years in this cult and not realize before now. It makes you wonder, even after his wife was told to abandon her immediate family.

Martin Bashir is a great interviewer, and should have been shown the respect by this worm Tommy Davis. The fact that he walked off the show, is an absolute sign of insecurity, and self knowing that he could never stand up to the scrutiny of Martin, maybe they should audit him again. Scientology is not a religion or a church, so its about time the US Government really looked into their activities. Now everyone will say that “it’s a free country with free speech, and all the 2nd and 5th amendments”, that’s not the point, this organization is a cult, stealing money from poor wretched weak minded people who know no better. It could be likened to Hitler’s National Socialist Party.

I have followed the corruption of Scientology for more than 35 years. Probably before most of them in it today were born. One of these days the so called Church of Scientology will be exposed for what it is.

Their entire operations are fraudulent, without merit and tantamount to another religious cult and gross scam. How the hell they have kept going with so many lawsuits, in France, South Africa, Germany the UK and elsewhere just shows how many gullible people there are in this world. However, believe me their time will come. It just needs one brave Judge to give Judgment. I would appreciate them suing me, they have my address and name, it would look good to show the entire world the many news reports about their disgusting cult, with the so called clear E meters, see Dr. George Lewith’s report on energy medicine, there is not one ounce of scientific evidence of e meter clearing anything never mind a human body or soul, just another gimmick and ploy to infect he minds of weak people.

These morons should get a life and stop preying on weak minds and stealing their hard earned money. They have ruined lives, people have lost fortunes, Federal crimes. Scientology poses as a religion but is really a ruthless global scam — and aiming for the mainstream. Think about it, very carefully, because one of these days they will have to stand up in court and be accountable for all of their callous actions.

When the judge pronounces sentence, and in time this will surely happen, they can repent in some god forsaken cell.
