Tom Cruise “Top Gun” Sequel: “Top Gun 2″
Paramount Studios want Tom Cruise to dust off his aviator jacket for a Top Gun sequel.
Movie bosses are eager to bring back Maverick, the fighter-pilot trainee, who shot Cruise to Hollywood leading man status in the 1986 film.
A script outline has been written, now all the studio needs is Tom’s OK.
“The idea is Maverick is at the Top Gun school as an instructor — and this time it is he who has to deal with a cocky new female pilot,” a source told The Sun on Monday.

I think that this will re-invent Tom Cruise’s career. Once he started making “artsy” movies he bacame less interesting and seemed weird. He needs to get back with “entertainment” style movies-exactly what made him famous. They need to wrap up negotiations and get filming-this could be the next huge summer box office hit! Actually this goes with the new TV show thats been rumored to be in the works “American Top Gun” that uses the real Navy pilots that flew the F-14s,F-5s and A-4s for the movie.The legendary F-14 Tomcat Pilot Dale “Snort” Snodgrass is heading up this show with other former Top Gun instructor pilots.A filming time slot is for fall-winter 2008-09
