Tom Crusie and Katie Holmes are sitting on pins and needless as British writer Andrew Morton prepares to publish a tell-all, Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography, about the Risky Business star on January 15th, 2008.

“Katie is scared of what the book will say. She knows people think their relationship is a sham and Tom has finally eased up. Now the book will start the gossip mill all over again. The rumors are really, really breaking her heart,” a friend tells In Touch Weekly.

Andrew, the author of the Princess Di tell-all Diana, Her True Story, has been researching Tom’s life for the past two years and even hired a retired gay porn star to investigate Tom’s love life:

“No one has dared to write a book like this. So it’s going to really be dealing with stuff no one has written about before,” says Brian Smith of St. Martin’s Press Publishing.
