Tom Cruise and Matt Lauer have buried the hatchet after famously sparring over the topic of psycotropic prescription drugs on The TODAY Show in 2005. Tom took part in a good natured roast of the NBC newsman at the Friars Club today in New York on Friday.

The actor took the stage and hugged Matt, telling the audience that he would do anything for his “good friend,” before launching a slideshow with his and Matt’s heads superimposed on other people’s bodies.

He ended his speech by saying, “Lose my number you glib putz! Cruise out!”
