It’s July 3rd, and you know what that means! Not only is it the 4th of July weekend, but it’s also Tom Cruise’s birthday! That’s right, Maverick turns a whopping 44 today.

Oliver Stone says that Tom Cruise won the lead role in “Born on the Fourth of July” by telling Stone that his birthday was July 3rd. Stone, however, was disappointed when Cruise did not tell reporters about his birthday when promoting the file. Cruise apparently was worried that it would lead to discovery of real last name, which is Mapother.

I don’t understand this since he wasn’t actually born on the 4th of July, but whatever.
