Tom Brady may know his way around the football field, but his kayaking could use some work!

The New Englands Patriots quarterback recently rented a pair of kayaks for himself and supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen, only to end up soaked in Boston’s Charles River! Luckily, a guardian angel in the former of an elementary school teacher was on-hand to save the day.

A spywitness tells The Globe: “….Tom flipped over and couldn’t get back in the boat. He had to be rescued and looked really embarrassed.”

According to Boston’s NBC affiliate WHDH Channel 7 News, a few weeks ago the football star was plucked from the Charles River by Robin Leeds — a grade school educator — after he fell in the water while kayaking with Gisele and a friend.

“We were tying up our boat to a buoy and the boat boy came over and said, ‘You are never going to guess who is on the Charles renting kayaks right now,’ and he said, ‘Do you want to go check it out.’ I said ‘yeah,’ “ Robin told the station.

“I actually asked him why he fell in. He said he was racing one of his friends. It was Tom, Gisele and his friend…so he was racing his friend….”

”[Tom was] really friendly, really appreciative that we fished him out of the Charles,” the teacher explains. “I talked with Gisele. We talked about how beautiful the weather it was.”

When Robin asked if the NFL star would pose for a picture with her, a very grateful Tom replied, “Of course, you saved my life.”
