TMZ Charged With Contempt Of Court After Leaking OJ Simpson’s ‘If I Did It’

A federal judge on Wednesday ordered AOL owned gossip blog TMZ.com to surrender its copy of O.J. Simpson’s “If I Did It” book and face a contempt hearing for posting the book’s exercepts on the Web.
TMZ’s managing editor Harvey Levin doesn’t want to reveal his sources, he may have to do just that, to a bankruptcy judge who had ordered that any proceeds of the banned book be directed to the family of murder victim Ron Goldman.
TMZ.com posted the manuscript for free in a downloadable PDF file Tuesday, its value was “diminished or destroyed,” according to legal papers filed by the bankruptcy trustee.
