A musical based on the life of the amazing Tina Turner (Love Her!) is headed for the London stage; although the initial reaction has the production, entitled Simply The Best, dubbed as a bit odd.

The musical will feature hits like Private Dancer, Let’s Stay Together and What’s Love Got to Do With It? Insiders claim the plot will include links to Egyptian mythology.

A source tells the New York Post, “(In one scene) the Egyptian queen (Hatshepsut) watches over Tina. When Ike pulls a gun on Tina, Hatshepsut shields her and the gun ‘leaps’ out of Ike’s hand.”
