This time love’s got everything to do with it: Rock queen Tina Turner, 73, has married her longtime beau, Erwin Bach. The couple, who announced their engagement to friends in April, will hold a formal Buddhist ceremony at Switzerland’s Kusnacht Manor on Sunday.
Keeping in line with traditional Buddhist values, all 120 guests expected to attend the weekend nups are required to wear white. The “Private Dancer” songstress’ white wedding gown will be designed by Giorgio Armani, who is expected to be in attendance. Other famous guests will include rocker David Bowie and his supermodel wife Iman, Oprah Winfrey and singer Sade.
Erwin, a former music label executive, is 16 years Tina’s junior. The couple has lived together in Switzerland for 18 years, but they’ve been an item for more than a quarter century.
The wedding comes as somewhat of a surprise, since Turner once said she had no plans to wed again. Her first marriage to the late Ike Turner ended in 1976, after 14 years of domestic abuse that Ike vehemently denied.
