Tina Fey Takes Her Dress Off In Honor Of David Letterman On ‘The Late Show’ [Watch]

Tina Fey has done a lot to make us laugh over the years, but this time she is showing her support for another person who has done that for even longer, David Letterman. Stars are lining up to say goodbye to The Late Show host of multiple decades and it is an emotional time for him.

There is no doubt that his last shows will be even more fun as celebrities continue to do their best to make the most out of their last appearances and musicians are playing sweet tributes as well.

Fey may top them all during her appearance last night when she came to the set in a blue dress that she proceeded to take off and reveal a pair of underwear that said “Bye Dave.”

Tina Fey also vowed to never wear a fancy dress on a talk show again in honor of David Letterman retiring. She gave the dress to him and said that no other late-night talk show host is worth getting dressed up for.

Another sweet dedication to the man who has also done a lot for musicians over the years occurred last night when First Aid Kit performed Simon and Garfunkel’s classic “America,” a song that Letterman had sung to his son when he was a boy.

Fey is a comedic genius and in addition to revealing the front of her outfit saying “Bye Dave,” her butt said “#Lastdressever” and it was surely a sweet moment for both her and the host and all of the fans watching.

Tina Fey, like other guests who are appearing on the show in his final weeks, are not even there to promote any kind of new film or album, but are simply there to say goodbye to David Letterman, who has been on the air for over 30 years and surpassed Johnny Carson as the longest running late-night talk show host.
