Timbaland Britney Spears Diss; Producer Calls ‘Gimme More’ ‘Dull’

As previously reported, 2007 MTV Video Music Awards program director/vet producer, Timbaland, is not very happy about Britney Spears’ opening performance on Sunday night. Timbaland has publicly dissed Britney’s comeback track, ‘Gimme More.’
“Britney’s cool, but I think that … it was too much,” he says. “Now it’s like, ‘Okay, Britney’s opening, she got a new song.’ …It’s kinda dull. It’s kinda flat-lined,” ‘The Way I Are’ star told radio/television personality Ryan Seacrest.
“Just to get the crowd moving. Like you got “Bartender,” you got “Shawty,” all these hyped songs. I call them crunk songs. I think when they [the audience] show up, you got to give them Red Bull. It’s what you hear at the club that gets you going.”
As for what he thinks of her new song, “Gimme More,” he says: “I haven’t heard it but everyone tells me, they just don’t say nothing about it.”
