Thomas Beatie broke his silence on being the World’s First Pregnant Man on Oprah on Thursday.

The thirty-four year is a transgender man who was born Tracy Lagondino.
After undergoing a double mastectomy and taking male hormones, Thomas became a man (legally), but opted to his female reproductive organs. He is currently six months pregnant with a baby girl. His wife, Nancy, was left infertile following a hysterectomy, so Thomas is carrying their child himself.

Thomas told O: “I actually opted not to do anything to my reproductive organs.”

“I’m a person and I have the right to have my own biological child.”
