This Isn’t About Nick
Set for release August 29th, Jessican Simpson’s upcoming album A Public Affair has many speculating whether it’s about her ex-husband, Nick Lachey.
“A Public Affair is a play on words,” Simpson, 26, reported to MTV News. She understands why people would feel the album might detail the chronicles of her crumbling marriage to Lachey, but insists that isn’t the case.
“It’s not about him at all,” she says.
However, Simpson hints that at least one track was inspired by her ex-husband; Patti Griffin’s “Let Him Fly,” which she covers on her upcoming release.
“It’s about how sometimes you just have to know when to let something go,” Simpson reports. “It was just perfect for that moment.”
