What Did You Think of Super Bowl Sunday’s “Seinfeld” Reunion?

The rumors were true…kinda.

The clandestine Seinfeld reunion, quietly filmed a few weeks back, saw the light of day with an airing during Sunday’s Super Bowl. We’d even wager that the return of Jerry and pal George Costanza proved more exciting than the surprisingly one-sided big game — which saw the Seattle Seahawks pummel the Denver Broncos in a 43-8 massacre, in case you missed it.

While the Snitch Circuit initially surmised that the rumored Seinfeld reunion would be a Super Bowl commercial, the clip — which aired just before Bruno Mars’ halftime show — turned out to be a shortened version of Jerry’s popular web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. This is the first time we’ve seen Jerry and George in character since a quasi-Seinfeld reunion on Curb Your Enthusiasm back in 2009.
