The Teaser Trailer for Disney’s ‘The BFG’ Is Nostalgia At Its Best

If you were ever a child, chances are you read The BFG, Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book about a big friendly giant. In keeping with bankrolling 90s kids’ nostalgia, Disney is making a major live-action motion picture called The BFG, and its trailer is everything we could have wanted from a movie version of this classic novel. Check it out:

Eerie, fantastical, a little scary, and definitely heartwarming, The BFG is looking amazing already. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the movie stars Ruby Barnhill as the little Sophie who befriends a “friendly” giant—one who has sworn not to eat little boys and girls, like the other giants. The movie is slated for release on July 1, 2016. Definitely a must-see!
