The Situation is readying his camera-worthy abs for their closeup on DVD. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino — The Long Islander who made the phrase “Gym, Tan, Laundry” a national phenomenon — is cashing in on his chiseled frame by releasing a workout DVD devoted to turning that marshmallowy midsection into a well-crafted work of art.

The personal trainer-turned-reality star, 28, is letting his fans decide which cover will become the finished product of his first fitness vid, titled Sitch’s Ab Secrets, which promises that ripped abs are just ten 5-minute sets away. This week, the Jersey Shore cast member logged on to his Facebook page to invite fans to vote on their favorite cover shot of his ripped abs. The Sitch’s pals have the choice of Sorrentino posing either topless, or semi-topless, with his white tank top pulled up. The winning picture will serve as the cover of the exercise video.

“if u want to get your own Situation then ur gonna wanna get with this killer workout from the man, the myth, the legend simply known as Sitch – help decide which cover we r gonna use on the DVD by voting in the comments below or we r gonna have a Situation!” Sorrentino wrote in a message to fans.

“He’s got what people consider a great body, hence his name The Situation, so we decided what better way for people to get their own situation. We came up with the idea of shooting the video after the first season of Jersey Shore in February and it’s been a company goal since,” says Mike’s older brother Marc, who Executive Producer of the DVD.

Ab Secrets premieres in December. In the meantime, fans can get their daily dose of The Situation on the second season of MTV’s Jersey Shore. New episodes premiere every Thursday @ 10 PM.
