The cast of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey have been given the old “weave-ho” from a Garden State country club after the infamous throwdown that left reportedly ousted Housewife Danielle Staub nursing a bald spot.
Teresa Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita, Caroline Manzo, Danielle Staub and Dina Manzo have been barred from the The North Jersey Country Club, London’s Daily Mail dished over the weekend.
The ritzy Wayne, NJ establishment made the decision after last month’s airing of a 2009 incident in which the Housewives began brawling and weave-pulling during a social event at the country club. The fight ended with Jacqueline Laurita’s 19-year-old daughter — Ashley Holmes — pulling out some of Staub’s hair extensions to hilarious perfection. Staub later sued and and Holmes was found guilty of assault and ordered to pay a $189 fine.
In an exclusive letter to the club’s members dated July 19, the club’s manager, John Stanley, apologized for the fracas and stressed that the local celebs were no longer welcome back on the premises.
“We are all embarrassed with the staged behaviour of these cast members at our club,” he wrote. “The fashion show event scheduled in November 2009 that was shown on the television episodes this July, were not properly presented to the North Jersey Country Club when the event was originally contracted and scheduled,” Stanley claimed.
“Whether you are a fan of the show, or a first time viewer, it is quite apparent from watching that the cast members are not affiliated with this Club or more importantly represent the many great families that comprise the North Jersey membership that call this Club their second home…It is safe to say that the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast and crew members are not welcome at the North Jersey Country Club and I assure you that nothing like this will ever occur again at this club.”
