“The Real Housewives Of Athens, Greece”

Well, we’ve been saddled with it for years, so it’s only fair that the European shores finally get a dose of trash TV.
This month, Greece will welcome The Real Housewives of Athens, a reality docusoap inspired by Bravo’s real-life comed-drama, which chronicles lifestyles of rich, obnoxious (and sometimes psychotic) socialites from some of the nation’s most affluent suburbs.
France, Spain, Italy, Israel, Germany, and Australia have also been optioned. The American Housewives franchise boasts editions in Orange County, New York City, Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, Atlanta — with additional editions in Beverly Hills and Washington, DC set for premiere later this year.
