“The Pee-Wee Herman Show” To Begin Limited Stage Engagement
Paul Reubens will resurrect his over-the-top alter ego Pee-Wee Herman for a limited stage engagement in Hollywood this fall, The Los Angeles Times reports. The show will feature many original cast and crew members of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, Reuben’s hit Saturday Morning series for kids in the 1980s.

The show was yanked from the air after Reubens was arrested by Florida police and charged with indecent exposure at an adult movie house in July 1991. In 2002, he was charged with misdemeanor possession of child pornography.
“It’s time,” Reubens in a release Monday. “My Pee-wee suit and red bow tie are at the ready — and this is proof that white shoes are cool past Labor Day.”
The Pee-Wee Herman Show begins Nov. 8 at The Music Box @ Fonda in Los Angeles.
