Leave it to a mom to completely embarrass her superstar sons.

The Jonas Brothers’ mom, Denise Jonas, has spoken out about their decision to remain virgins until they are married.

“They are men. They have desires. They have testosterone,” the JoBros matriarch said in an interview for Good Housekeeping’s July issue. “If they make a mistake, I’m not going to hate them. I don’t think they’re above or beyond being seduced.”

“They are tested and tested, like every one of us. I pray for them,” Denise added.

Mom is particularly upset that her boys are often the subjects of public ridicule due to their views on premarital sex. Kevin, 21, Joe, 19, and 16-year-old Nick have caught flack from comics such as Russell Brand, and TV shows such as South Park – for their purity rings symbolizing their vow of virginity.

“They’ve been criticized for proclaiming things they never proclaimed. And what’s the criticism? They don’t want to go out there giving everyone an STD? What’s so terrible about that?”

“They have been hurt in relationships by girls,” she said. “But it’s just about growing up and learning what it means to be in a relationship.”

“I try to guide them with their choices.”
