Eleven year old Paris Jackson left much of the world in tears on Tuesday as she bravely paid tribute to her pop legend father, the late Michael Jackson, in front of nearly 20,000 mouring fans. Nearly paralyzed by grief, Paris stepped forward to tell people everywhere that her Daddy was the “best father you could ever imagine,” but not everyone in the Jackson Family approved of her public address.

Michael Jackson’s eight surviving siblings were divided about whether or not to his daughter should speak at the memorial service, The Chicago Sun-Times claims.

“At the end of the service, there was a bit of a disagreement within the assembled Jackson siblings on stage. While Janet, LaToya and Marlon felt it important for Michael’s only daughter, Paris Katherine Jackson, to say a few words, some of the others – including Randy and Jermaine – weren’t so sure.”

”It obviously wasn’t a good idea to end that way,” the publication quotes an insider as saying.

Rev. Al Sharpton, a longtime friend of The Jackson Family, disagrees, telling CNN’s Larry King: “That – that touched everyone. And I think you couldn’t script that. She’s not reading a prompter. This is a young lady – in fact, if you saw it, they had really said they wanted Janet Jackson to speak. And Janet kind of brought her forward. And she spoke from the heart about her father…..”

Do you think it was appropriate to allow young Paris to address the crowd at her father’s memorial?
